Shalyam is India's education discovery and guidance platform. This policy explains how students, parents, and institutions can raise grievances related to admissions information, college listings, counseling services, scholarships, and other education guidance on our platform.
Scope
This policy covers grievances regarding:
- Inaccurate or outdated college, university, or exam information on Shalyam
- Misleading admission guidance or counseling recommendations
- Issues with institution profile claims or verified badges
- Scholarship listing errors or application process concerns
- Platform access, account, or communication issues related to admissions
Shalyam does not conduct physical admissions on behalf of institutions. Final admission decisions remain with the respective college, university, or examination authority.
How to File a Grievance
You may submit a grievance through any of the following channels:

Please include your name, contact details, institution or exam involved, and a clear description of the issue.
Resolution Timeline
We acknowledge grievances within 2 business days and aim to resolve or provide a substantive response within 7–15 business days, depending on complexity. Data corrections on college profiles are typically processed within 5 business days after verification.
Escalation
If you are unsatisfied with the initial response, reply to your case email with "Escalation Request" and your case reference. Escalated cases are reviewed by our compliance team within 5 additional business days.
